(NASDAQ: TGEN) is pleased to announce AVL North America has been selected by Ultratek™ to perform testing and validation of the Ultera™ ultra-clean emissions control technology for automotive applications. The leader in the global vehicle testing and verification space, AVL is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation, and testing technology of powertrain systems for passenger cars, trucks, and large internal combustion engines.
Baseline testing of the Ultera emissions control technology on a standard 2016 vehicle platform along with initial validation investigations will be performed at AVL's California Technology Center. Concurrently, Tecogen's experienced research staff engineers will work with industry experts contracted by Ultratek to run testing and verification at the Waltham, MA headquarters. Initial testing of the Ultera technology on a vehicle is slated to begin in March of this year.
