Technology Spending Increases Among Interop Las Vegas Attendees
IT Professionals Looking to Buy at Leading IT Event of the Year
SAN FRANCISCO, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Interop® today released the results of a pre-show survey that indicates 53 percent of attendees at the upcoming Interop Las Vegas intend to increase spending on technology within their organizations in 2010 as compared to last year. The Interop Las Vegas 2010 pre-show survey further reveals that 95 percent of pre-registered attendees are active purchasers within their companies, interested in areas like cloud computing, virtualization, network infrastructure and data center upgrades. The Interop survey polled nearly 500 pre-registered Interop Las Vegas 2010 attendees via email and found the following top line results:
Active Buyer Trends
- 89 percent of Interop Las Vegas 2010 attendee IT budgets will increase or remain flat
- 53 percent of attendees 2010 IT budgets are actually increasing compared with 2009
Active Buyer Profile and Interest Areas
- 95 percent of Interop attendees are active in the purchase process
- 89 percent have direct involvement with vendors
- Over 65 percent are currently using, planning to use or considering cloud computing
- 62 percent are interested in learning more about IT security; while over 50 percent are interested in learning more about desktop and server virtualization
- Leading IT initiatives/priorities: virtualization, IT security, mobility and wireless, IT energy conservation, network infrastructure and data center upgrades
- The top three reasons Interop attendees value Interop as the IT event of the year: to stay up to date with IT industry trends, identify new products and new companies, and meet with technology vendors and evaluate product solutions
Interop Las Vegas 2010 will cover key industry themes and present cost-saving IT solutions to increase revenue and improve competitive advantage.
