Technology Industry Veteran John Gavin Joins QlikTech Board of Directors
Adds Three Decades of Financial and Operational Expertise to Leading Data Analysis Software Company
RADNOR, Pa., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- QlikTech, a leading business intelligence company, today announced that John Gavin, Jr., most recently executive vice president and chief financial officer of BladeLogic, was selected to join QlikTech's board of directors.

John also serves on the board of directors and is the audit chairman of VistaPrint Ltd, as well as being a member of the board of directors of a privately held ERP and CRM software company. He was previously a member of the board of directors and the audit chairman for Ascential Software.

With more than 30 years of financial and operational management experience, John led financial operations for BladeLogic, a leading provider of next-generation data center automation software. His work at the Company focused on their initial public offering and rapid growth prior to BladeLogic's acquisition by BMC Software in April 2008.
Prior to BladeLogic, Gavin served as the chief financial officer for three public companies: NaviSite, Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP) and Data General Corporation.
John spent 12 years at Data General Corporation in a number of roles, including chief financial officer. There he helped reshape the company's infrastructure to return it to profitability prior to its acquisition by EMC.
Early in John's career, he spent 10 years at what is today PricewaterhouseCoopers in increasingly senior positions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College.
