On August 28, 2014, Ford Motor Co. (Ford) announced that its Flat Rock Assembly plant in Wayne County, Michigan has started producing the all-new 2015 Mustang cars. According to Ford, for the first time in its 50-year history, Mustang will be available globally to customers in more than 120 countries. "Mustang is and will continue to be an automotive icon," said Joe Hinrichs, Ford President of The Americas. "Expanding its availability globally affords our customers around the world the opportunity to have a true firsthand Mustang experience - one unlike any other." Hinrichs added. Ford informed that in April 2014, the Company celebrated the 50th anniversary of the original Mustang, and in commemoration of this, each 2015 model will feature a badge on the instrument panel that includes the galloping pony logo and the words "Mustang - Since 1964." According to the Company, New Mustang will be on sale in U.S. in the fall of 2014 and in more than 120 countries next year. General Motors Company Research Reports
On August 28, 2014, General Motors Company (GM) announced that the Company has sold three million Chevrolet Cruze. As per GM, the best-selling Chevrolet model crossed the milestone in the month of August, 2014, just 16 months after selling its two millionth model.
