Halliburton Company Research Reports
On September 2, 2014, Halliburton Company (Halliburton) announced that it has reached an agreement to settle a substantial majority of the plaintiffs' class claims asserted against the Company as a result of the April 20, 2010 Macondo well incident in the Gulf of Mexico. The Company stated that it will pay approx. $1 billion for settlement, which includes legal fees to a trust until all appeals have been resolved in three installments over the next two years. Halliburton informed that the settlement amount of $1 billion is subject to approval by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. The Company added that its previously accrued loss contingency provision relating to the multi-district litigation proceedings is currently $1.3 billion. The settlement agreement includes: claims against Halliburton that BP assigned to the settlement class in BP's April 2012 settlement; punitive damages claims against Halliburton by a class of plaintiffs who allege damages to property or associated with the commercial fishing industry arising from the Deepwater Horizon Incident; and affirmation that Halliburton has no liability for compensatory damages to the members of the settlement class in the BP April 2012 settlement. Schlumberger Limited Research Reports

Schlumberger informed that Petrel Shale is designed to optimize operations to increase capital efficiency along with high scalability and straightforward deployment. Further, the Petrel Shale software offers an end-to-end workflow in a user-friendly way to increase productivity in evaluating and developing shale assets. Chevron Corporation Research Reports

Chevron stated that beginning September 1, 2014, public school teachers from participating communities can post eligible classroom projects on DonorsChoose's website. Chevron informed that from October 1, 2014 through October 31, 2014, the Fuel Your School program will donate $1 to help fund eligible classroom projects when consumers purchase eight or more gallons of fuel at participating Chevron or Texaco stations, up to a total of $8.6 million. Monsanto Company Research Reports
On August 28, 2014, Monsanto Company's (Monsanto) Vegetable Seeds Division, Seminis, announced the launch of its new Dixie Red hybrid tomato seed that provides larger fruit, better disease package, and higher yield potential compared to Florida 47 R hybrid tomato seed. Monsanto stated that due to better disease package, the Dixie Red seeds provide the opportunity for more fruit to be harvested at the end of the growth season. In addition, Dixie Red include an earlier maturity of 87 days, compared to Florida 47 R, intermediate resistance to Root-knot nematodes, hot set capabilities, as well as its ability to be harvested when it's green or red, while still maintaining its firm fruit. The Company informed that Dixie Red tomato seed will initially be available in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, and is ideal for the main growing season in those states as well as in the fall in Florida.
