Archer-Daniels-Midland Company Research Reports
On October 1, 2014, Archer-Daniels-Midland Company (ADM) announced it has completed the acquisition of WILD Flavors GmbH. As per the Company, ADM will create a new business unit, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients, which will include the WILD business in addition to the various ADM product lines such as Specialty proteins, Emulsifiers, Edible beans, Natural health and nutrition, Soluble fiber, amongst others. According to ADM, the new business unit will become a reportable segment starting January 1, 2015 and will have Greg Morris as its President and WILD North American Chief Operating Officer, Vince Macciocchi will serve as Global President, WILD Flavors. On October 2, 2014, Constellation Brands Inc. (Constellation Brands) reported its Q2 FY 2015 financial results (period ended August 31, 2014). Net sales came in at $1.6 billion, up 9.9% YoY. Net income stood at $195.8 million compared to $1.5 billion in Q2 FY 2014. According to Constellation Brands, Q2 FY 2014 net income included a $1.6 billion non-cash gain on the remeasurement to fair value of its original 50% interest in the Crown Imports joint venture. Diluted EPS for Class A Common Stock was reported at $0.98 versus $7.74 in Q2 FY 2014. Rob Sands, President and CEO said, "I am pleased with our results which reflect another quarter of excellent performance from our beer business.
