Technatomy Corp. Selects Companion Data Services to Support Federal Agencies

COLUMBIA, S.C., March 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Technatomy Corp., a provider of information technology services based in Fairfax, Va., has selected Companion Data Services (CDS) of Columbia, S.C., to provide data hosting and IT support to Technatomy's federal agency clients.

As a subcontractor for Technatomy, CDS will provide support in the areas of data center consolidation, data center hosting and cloud computing. Technatomy selected CDS because of CDS's reputation for providing cost-effective and innovative IT solutions, particularly to the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and other health care-related organizations.

Technatomy provides IT services to the U.S. Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies under the Veterans Technology Services Government wide Acquisition Contract (VETS GWAC). VETS GWAC is a small business set-aside contract for service-disabled, veteran-owned (SDVO) small technology firms. 

CDS operates one of the largest and most secure health care data centers in the world from its Columbia, S.C., headquarters, providing health information technology services to both government and private entities.
