TechInsights hires intellectual property & technology veteran Dave Cordeiro

OTTAWA, Canada, Oct, 6, 2014 /PR Newswire/-- TechInsights, the leading provider of intellectual property (IP) consulting, patent brokerage and technical analysis services, is delighted to announce that Dave Cordeiro has joined as Vice President, Commercial Transactions.

Prior to TechInsights, Mr. Cordeiro was Vice President, Chief Intellectual Property (IP) Counsel and Associate General Counsel at Openwave where he built and operated a $6B+ IP monetization company.  Mr. Cordeiro has also brokered transactions for clients in the United States, Taiwan, Korea, and Europe.  His specialties include strategic monetization of patent assets.

Mr. Cordeiro holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University, and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Syracuse University. Mr. Cordeiro also attended the City University of Hong Kong where he specialized in technology licensing to and from China. He will be based in California.
