TechAssure Association Hosts Fall Semi-Annual Member Conference in Versailles, France
Modest growth in the global economy changes the tech and life sciences industry. It is clear that in today's era, innovative firms are faced with more risk than ever.
AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of 22 independent insurance brokerage firms of TechAssure Association gathered at the Trianon Palace in Versailles, France for their semi-annual member conference.
International, insurance and risk management professionals from across the globe attended the conference to review the state of the insurance and risk management market for the technology, life sciences, venture capital and private equity industries. TechAssure Association members from the U.S., Canada, France, U.K., Netherlands and Ireland attended. Carrier partners from Chubb, Travelers, One Beacon, Lloyds, CFC Underwriting and SafeonLine were also in attendance.
Presentations included the state of the global technology and life sciences industry, review of mergers and acquisitions activity and a review of the trends in structuring global insurance programs for the technology industry. In addition, the conference highlighted changes in assessing global D&O and E&O exposures and the growing cyberliability regulations throughout the world.
The conference ended with best practices presentations from TechAssure Association members on new product innovation, service and distribution. "What's required in the marketplace is a collaborative and productive sharing of innovative ideas to better support the risk management needs of innovative industries," said Julie Davis.
