Tech Data Adds New Tools, Solutions to StreamOne Cloud Marketplace
Projected business impact of next-generation solutions to be showcased at Microsoft Inspire
CLEARWATER, Fla., July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) today announced that it is introducing multiple enhancements to its award-winning StreamOne™ Cloud Marketplace (SCM). These new features and capabilities will help channel partners build and maintain more efficient, flexible and value-added cloud platforms that help foster better business outcomes. The enhancements will be demonstrated for the first time at Tech Data's booth at Microsoft Inspire, July 15-19, in Las Vegas.
SCM enhancements include:
- End-customer portal SDK [Software Development Kit] that leverages the power of StreamOne APIs to provide resellers with a customizable self-service portal for their customers
- Enhanced subscription-management features for Microsoft Office 365 to help resellers efficiently manage tenants with multiple subscriptions
- Addition of the NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP solution to SCM's portfolio of Azure-based solutions and blueprints
- Continued global expansion of SCM into Mexico beginning in September 2018
"These additions to the StreamOne Cloud Marketplace enable our channel partners to expand their recurring cloud revenue with minimal investments, leveraging the new platform features and solutions available in our leading cloud platform," said Michael Urban, corporate vice president, Strategy, Transformation and Global Vendor Management, at Tech Data. "The StreamOne platform gives resellers easy access to Microsoft Office 365 and Azure services, and allows them to begin operating their own cloud businesses, bringing flexibility and convenience to their end-user customers. This is an ideal platform to help channel partners take advantage of the extraordinary pace of innovation happening in our market today."
New End-Customer Portal SDK
The SDK is available on the GitHub hosting service with an easy, click-to-deploy installation—with access to the GitHub repository via SCM. This enhancement enables Tech Data customers to launch their own customer portals connected to their StreamOne accounts, allowing their end-user customers to manage their own subscriptions to these portals. Enhanced dashboard and reporting capabilities are also available, helping resellers with customer lifecycle management and allowing them to make better recommendations to their customers.
Enhanced Subscription-Management Features for Microsoft Office 365
Tech Data's customers rely on StreamOne to simplify the transaction and management of cloud solutions for their end-user customers. Resellers can now efficiently manage tenants with multiple subscriptions, and use additional features to manage those subscriptions by naming and assigning users.
NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP for Microsoft Azure
Bundling the power of NetApp and Microsoft Azure into one pre-tested solution, NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP for Microsoft Azure is now available in SCM. It helps channel partners build cloud environments with enterprise-class cloud storage and offer end users a universal storage platform that facilitates easy replication of data across a hybrid cloud environment.
Expansion of the StreamOne Cloud Marketplace into Mexico
As Microsoft's 2018 Indirect Provider Partner of the Year, Tech Data is uniquely positioned to bring these bundled solutions and enhancements to market and will make them available beginning in mid-July where the StreamOne Cloud Marketplace is available globally—including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, India, the U.S. and Vietnam. Beginning in September 2018, StreamOne will also be available in Mexico, as part of Tech Data's continuing investment in bringing high-value, next-generation technologies to the Latin America region.
The StreamOne Cloud Marketplace provides Tech Data customers with the capability to manage the entire end-user lifecycle for consumption- and subscription-based cloud services. Channel partners can easily leverage tools and resources that assist them in learning about, investing in and managing cloud services. Tech Data's specialized support makes it easier for resellers to efficiently transition their business models as well as unlock the benefits of vendor and service provider programs.
