"This is an election year so it is very important that we mobilize to make sure we help elect candidates who support working families," said Al Mixon, a Teamsters International Union Vice President and Chairman of the TNBC.
"The conference is also an opportunity to share ideas, build relationships among Teamsters from all over the country and help grow our 1.4 million-member union," said Mixon, who is also Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 507 in Cleveland.
The event, which runs through Saturday, began on Tuesday. The conference includes guest speakers, workshops and opportunities to recognize members and leaders for their efforts to strengthen the Teamsters Union.
