SEATTLE, Nov. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, the union was forced to call an Unfair Labor Practice Strike against Selland Auto Transport at 11 different locations across Washington, Oregon, Montana, California and Utah, in an attempt to dissuade the company's continued violations of federal labor law.
After a great display of solidarity from across the entire system, the unions made an unconditional offer to return to work on behalf of all Selland Auto Transport employees participating in this unfair labor practice strike.
"We are confident the solidarity shown by the Selland drivers, mechanics and owner-operators impressed upon Selland management the need to bargain in good faith," said Kevin Moore, Director of the Teamsters Carhaul Division. "Based on the actions of the Selland workers today, we do not see the need to continue to hurt the company's business, the automobile manufacturers or the dealerships' busy holiday sales season. We have decided to return to work as a show of good faith so the company will cease their violations of federal labor law and return to the bargaining table."
