DALLAS, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The best canine athletes and handlers from the U.S. are in Laag-Soeren, Netherlands this week for the 2016 World Agility Championships hosted by the International Federation of Cynological Sports. The competition begins today and runs through Sunday, April 17.
The 20 members of IFCS Team USA were selected from a points system in two distinct events hosted by the United States Dog Agility Association – the 2015 Cynosport World Games this past October and the World Team Selection Event in January.
IFCS Team USA will be competing against at least 200 other competitors from 16 different countries. The IFCS World Agility Championships is the most prestigious agility championship event in amateur sports and will be live-streamed world-wide.
Today's live-stream coverage is free. Two live-stream viewing options are available beginning Thursday, depending on your availability.
The competition is open to all types of dogs, purebred or mixed-breed in four separate jump height divisions. IFCS Team USA members are competing individually and overall as a team.
