To handle traffic spikes and store runners' stats securely in the cloud, the B.A.A.'s website, on which all Marathon participants register and access race information, is managed from EarthLink's state-of-the art, SSAE 16 compliant data center in nearby Marlborough, MA.  The site receives an estimated one million site visitors and 17 million page views on race day alone.
