Team Challenge Kicks Off Training Programs for Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon
Local Seattle team is forming to prepare runners and walkers for the ultimate tour of Vegas
SEATTLE, July 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The 6th annual Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon & 1/2 Marathon to benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is taking place on Sunday, November 16, 2014.
"Team Challenge prepares participants to run or walk a half marathon while helping to raise necessary funds for research, education, and support for the 1.4 million Americans suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis," says Craig Comins, Team Challenge National Director. "Our partnership with Rock 'n' Roll at this amazing night race has greatly increased awareness of these diseases. CCFA's Northwest chapter is hosting a series of free informational meetings to help prepare runners and walkers for the fitness experience of a lifetime.

Over the past seven years, Team Challenge has become one of the premier multisport endurance training programs in the country, having trained nearly 12,000 runners, walkers, triathletes, and cyclists. In exchange for fundraising, Team Challenge participants receive personalized training by professional run and walk coaches in local markets for an entire season. Additionally, the training program includes clinics and helpful tips on topics like nutrition, hydration, and injury prevention. Participants also receive an expenses-paid weekend to a great destination race covering race registration fees, lodging, meals, and travel accommodations.
