DALLAS, Jan. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the 14th consecutive year, TDIndustries has been named to FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list with a ranking of number 45. TDIndustries is one of only 13 companies to have made the list every year since its inception in 1998, earning the firm the distinction of being a FORTUNE "All Star."
One of TDIndustries' defining qualities, recognized by FORTUNE in its selection, is its diverse workforce, including women and minorities who have opportunities to excel and grow as leaders at this 65-year-old specialty contracting firm. Other benefits highlighted by FORTUNE include TD's telecommuting policy, compressed workweeks and fitness programs.
According to TDIndustries' CEO Harold MacDowell, "Sustaining a positive company environment can be a challenge even in the best of times. To be recognized by FORTUNE and to have the tremendous support of our employees during hard times is especially meaningful. In retrospect, the past decade and a half has been full of challenges and opportunities for our team. The FORTUNE ranking is just 'icing on the cake.' We hope that this recognition continues to demonstrate our commitment to continuous, aggressive improvement and our focus on exceeding our customers' expectations every day."
Among TD's most recognizable projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area are Forest Park Medical Complex, Dallas City Performance Hall, and Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas,

About FORTUNE's "100 Best Companies to Work For" Methodology
To pick the 100 Best Companies to Work For, FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Three hundred eleven companies participated in this year's survey. Two-thirds of a company's score is based on the results of the Institute's Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about management's credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third of the scoring is based on the company's responses to the Institute's Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, internal communications, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts. Any company that is at least seven years old with more than 1,000 U.S. employees is eligible. The deadline for applying for next year's list is June 15, 2011.
