TD Encourages its Customers and Employees to "Be a fan®" and Support Special Olympics
Annual "Be a fan" program raises money for Special Olympics from Maine to Florida.
CHERRY HILL, N.J. and PORTLAND, Maine, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank® ("TD"), will be joined by TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NYSE: AMTD) to support Special Olympics through its annual "Be a fan®" program, beginning May 13, 2013.
The "Be a fan" program encourages TD customers and employees to raise funds for their local Special Olympics programs. Last year, more than 165,000 wristbands were purchased by TD customers and employees, contributing to the more than $1.1 million raised for Special Olympics programs from Maine to Florida.

TD Ameritrade employees participate in Special Olympics across the U.S. not only by giving monetary contributions, but by volunteering their time as well. Green and white wristbands, featuring TD Bank and Special Olympics logos as well as the "Be a fan" slogan, will be available for $5 each at all TD Bank stores. TD Bank customers and non-customers can also use Penny Arcade to count and donate their loose change with the standard fee being waived for non-customers.
The "Be a fan" program runs from May 13 through June 30, 2013.
