To start, the TD Charitable Foundation will donate $20,000 to the American Red Cross of Central and Western Massachusetts. - TD Bank's small business managers are proactively reaching out to affected small businesses and offering assistance and long-term support to the Springfield community. Along with payment deferments for up to three months for current borrowing customers, TD Bank will offer special financing options to small businesses in the affected areas. This includes 48-hour turnarounds on Variable Rate Term loans and Lines of Credit at low interest rates for the first three months and no closing costs or processing fees. Small business owners are also encouraged to contact TD Bank's toll free Small Business help line at (855)-278-8988 and the SBA Disaster Assistance Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955.
- TD Insurance is showing its commitment to the communities it serves by reaching out to business customers affected by the twister and offering TD Insurance's West Springfield office as a remote operations center. TD Insurance employees are also assisting customers by helping them to clean their homes or offices, and working with customers to file claims and continue the clean-up process.
Since Thursday, and through this week, a group of TD Bank employees have been driving TD Bank's signature WOW! vans throughout the Springfield area handing out water and snacks to emergency workers and local residents, and toys to children. Thousands of water bottles and assorted snacks have been distributed so far. Other TD Bank volunteers continue to help rebuild projects in the area.
