Charles Frederick has been named Market President for the Western North Carolina market. Frederick joined Carolina First in 2010 and most recently served as Market President for the North Mountain market. In his new role, he will work closely with middle market, retail and business line teams to coordinate an effective market strategy and will be responsible for small business, government and community banking.
Supporting Charles, will be Ross Sloan, Regional Vice President for the South Mountains market. In his new role, Sloan will develop customized lending solutions for a wide range of business and commercial clients throughout the region. Sloan joined Carolina First in 2005 and most recently acted as Market President for the South Mountains Region.
Kevin Watson has been named Commercial Team Leader for the North Mountains market. He will be responsible for lending and product solutions for businesses in the area. Watson joined Carolina First in 2003 and previously supported the North Mountains market as a commercial banking manager.
Andrew Richards has been appointed Senior Vice President Retail Banking for Western North Carolina. Richards is responsible for leading retail banking sales and service in Western North Carolina and the Metro DC area. Richards has held a wide range of retail banking management positions during his 25+ year career at TD Bank. He also will be responsible for helping to build the unique retail- and customer-focused culture that differentiates TD Bank.
Shalon Pierce has been appointed Retail Market Manager for Western North Carolina. In her new role, she will be responsible for all retail stores in the market. Pierce joined Carolina First in October 1999 and most recently served as Retail Market Executive for the Western North Carolina region.
The team will be led by Brian Monday, Regional President for the bank's Metro D.C. and Western North Carolina region, but with local decisions being made in the market.
