TD Bank Named One Of The 2014 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies For Diversity
CHERRY HILL, N.J., April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, ranked among the 2014 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity. The DiversityInc Top 50 includes companies from a wide range of industries whose leadership, procurement practices, communications and training best reflect the reality of the rapidly changing face of America.
"TD Bank's commitment to diversity is the fiber of our being and culture," said Linda Verba, Chair of the Diversity Leadership Team at TD Bank. "TD is determined to be a place where employees are respected and can achieve their full potential. By developing a workforce that reflects the diverse communities where we live and work, we can continue to meet the needs of all our customers."
TD Bank also ranked among the 2014 DiversityInc Top 10 Companies for Diversity Councils. The new specialty list is based on effective best practices for councils that correlate to human-capital and supplier-diversity progress.
The rankings are determined by an objective methodology that calculates factors such as Talent Pipeline, Equitable Talent Development, CEO/Leadership Commitment, and Supplier Diversity. The empirical data for the rankings is provided by a 300-question survey filled out by personnel at the participating companies. Survey participation is free to any company with at least 1,000 U.S. workers.
"Earning a spot on the DITop50 proves that management is paying close attention to the needs of their primary constituents—employees, customers and other key stakeholders," said DiversityInc founder and CEO, Luke Visconti. "Companies with great reputations attract the best and most skilled employees who then create and deliver the best products and services. It's a virtuous cycle that enables public companies on the DiversityInc Top50 list to consistently outperform the major domestic stock market indices and privately held companies to surpass their peers."
