TD Bank Launches "Coins for Caring" to Aid Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

CHERRY HILL, N.J. and PORTLAND, Maine, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank^®, today announced it is enabling all customers and non-customers to donate to the American Red Cross by using the bank's Penny Arcade coin counting machine free of charge.

"As communities rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, customers throughout TD Bank's footprint have asked how they can help," said Brian Haier, Executive Vice President and Head, Regional Retail Banking and Direct Channels for TD Bank. "By donating their coins, people of all ages can support their friends and neighbors as they recover from the storm."

Now through the end of November, TD Bank is encouraging people to use the bank's Penny Arcade coin counting machines and donate their coins to the 'Coins for Caring' campaign. TD Bank will match total donations collected up to $100,000.

TD Bank will waive all non-customer Penny Arcade fees and give all donations to the American Red Cross to assist in disaster relief. The self-service Penny Arcade coin counting machines are easy to use and conveniently located next to the teller counter at most TD Bank stores.
