CHERRY HILL, N.J. and PORTLAND, Maine, May 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, today launched its annual donation drive for the "Be a fan™" campaign, continuing its support of Special Olympics through employee and customer donations within its stores from Maine to Florida.

"We are extremely excited to participate in the "Be a fan" campaign again this year," said Fred Graziano, Head of Regional Retail Banking for TD Bank. "Last year's campaign was a great success, and we encourage all TD Bank employees and customers to give what they can to support and 'be a fan' of the Special Olympics."
Donations can be made at any TD Bank store, including all Carolina First and Mercantile Bank locations, with funds raised in each state going directly to the respective local Special Olympics chapter. Customers and non-customers alike can also use the Penny Arcade to count and donate some or all of their loose change. When donating through the Penny Arcade, TD Bank will waive the fee for non-customers.
TD Bank will also have wristbands, featuring Special Olympics and TD Bank logos as well as "Be a fan" inscribed on them, for sale in each store for a small donation of $5.
The TD Bank "Be a fan" campaign runs now through June 30, 2011.
