TBWA\Chiat\Day New York announces Jordan Holberg as new Director of Technology
TBWA further bolsters management team with former Barneys E-Commerce Director
NEW YORK, July 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TBWA\Chiat\Day New York has appointed Jordan Holberg, 32, to join the leadership team, as Director of Technology.
Jordan joins the management team, alongside recently-appointed Executive Creative Director, Matt Ian; Head of Account Management, Leigh Baker; Head of Planning, Ed Castillo; and Head of Digital and Content Strategy, Aki Spicer.
Jordan will report directly to Robert and work across all the agency's clients including GSK, Pernod Ricard, beIN Sport and Michelin. He will be a key member of TBWA's Digital Arts Network team in the New York office and his role will see him oversee all technology responsibilities for TBWA's clients, working at the intersection of Production, Creative and Delivery.
On his latest appointment, Robert commented: "Jordan has this fresh entrepreneurial perspective and drive, that will thrive at TBWA. He is continually creating things and experimenting with new stuff. Team that with his experience leading Barneys.com, and you achieve fantastic hybrid talent."
Jordan was formerly E-Commerce Director and Lead Developer at Barneys New York, where he was Barneys.com number one employee. Jordan was responsible for barneys.com front-end and technical back-end, its integration with social media and its international expansion. He worked closely with the VP of E-Commerce to develop a strategic business plan, budget and operating procedures. Under Jordan's work for barneys.com, the company achieved the highest EBITDA across all Barneys' doors and delivered the largest days / seasons ever for barneys.com.
Jordan was also responsible for founding companies including The Zombi Corporation, a Check in / location based service and hardware designed to work with smart and non-smart phones; and technology including Sugar Serials, which cuts up long-form text into Twitter-digestible chunks and Mappily Ever After, which enables people to create live, real-time maps of their data.
Jordan added: "I'm proud to be joining a company where individual creativity and personalities are encouraged and embraced. Technology is an important part of our everyday lives and I am beyond excited to be directing that technology to do our bidding and to be leading the resistance in the coming Singularity and machine-takeover of our planet. TBWA has a tremendous amount of talent and I can't wait to see what cool, disruptive things we build and release in to the world."
