Tautachrome announces rebranding program for SafeDate and updates market
ORO VALLEY, Ariz., July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tautachrome, Inc. (OTC-PINK: TTCM) today announced the pending release of the in-house developed SafeDate platform under new branding that is in work.
SafeDate, along with MeetSafe and other personal safety concepts are specifically identified in sections of patents presently under application by Tautachrome.
"Our patent activities include the many aspects of personal safety in the modern world that can be implemented by the digital technologies under development in Tautachrome," said Dr Jon N Leonard the Company's CEO. "We have been in dialogue with Zinzin Group Inc., an expert branding firm in San Francisco, and believe we will reach a successful branding result from those discussions, one that will powerfully embrace the work we are doing across the board in personal safety."
"Personal safety leaps into the forefront with the explosive advent of wonderfully distracting multi-person apps such as Pokémon Go that are so absorbing that users can be led unawares into dangerous situations," Dr Leonard added. "However we wind up rebranding our SafeDate platform, I know that the platform will go far in ameliorating the unintended dangers associated with playing Pokémon Go and other popular innovative apps."
The Company's SafeDate app was developed and deployed in Australia through the Polybia Studios subsidiary as part of the technical base-building program for the creation of the company's flagship KlickZie technology. "Last year we built Polybia Studios from scratch with some very talented graduating students from Bond University in Australia, and now it is something we are very proud of," Dr Leonard likes to say.
Polybia Studios owns the SafeDate trademark in Australia, and will continue to use the SafeDate brand for beta testing and ongoing development, while the platform is rebranded and released in a broader global market sector. Re-branding will have the positive effect of moving the SafeDate platform away from the impression of being a dating app with the associated connotations of "date hunting," and will place the platform squarely in the arena of personal safety.
"Tautachrome's Appquisitions™ Division entered into a letter of intent to acquire US based Safedate, LLC, which operates a background check dating business," stated Micheal Nugent, Tautachrome's Chief Advancement Officer. "However, negotiations stalled and then failed in the due diligence period," he said. Mr Nugent went on to say "It was our intention to acquire the operations of Safedate, LLC and then proceed to divest the background check business to an identified third party reducing our capital exposure. This has now passed."
Since closing the merger that created Tautachrome in May 2015, the Company has forged forward on two fronts. Consolidating its app exploitation competence, the Company has stood up its Appquisitions™ Division under Mr Nugent, acquiring PhotoSweep, LLC in January and developing and releasing its first game app, Temple-Ted, in June. At the same time, the US team has begun contact with US government agencies for cooperative work in the development of its flagship KlickZie technology.
In light of recent Tautachrome share price slippage, the board of directors has issued the following statement:
"It is of the view of the board that actual shareholder support from our main stream investors is very strong and recent share price slippage is primarily due to market manipulation directly associated with commentators on the I-Hub Investor blog site."
On the same topic, Dr Jon N Leonard the Company's CEO issued the following statement:
"Our job is building the Company. I believe that if we take care of the Company, the Company will take care of the share price."
