NEW YORK, April 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- EY announced today that Shari Yocum and Niki Lee, co-founders of leading Human Resources M&A Advisory firm Tasman Consulting, have become principal members in the Ernst & Young LLP People Advisory Services (PAS) transactions practice. Most members of the Tasman Consulting team are also joining the practice.
"The addition of this team reflects the commitment of EY to this growing practice, providing leading PAS transactions client service in mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and divestitures," said George Brooks, EY Americas PAS Leader. "Our People Advisory Services team has worked shoulder to shoulder with Tasman as we each contributed to two significant transactions, and we look forward to offering our clients the added depth that the Tasman team brings."
Silicon Valley-based Tasman Consulting launched in 2011 with the goal of bringing together professionals with strong corporate human resources and M&A backgrounds to advise clients through the full life-cycle of all types of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, IPOs, joint ventures and restructurings. Service offerings include due diligence, operations integration, total rewards, organization design, talent strategy, HR operations and systems, change management, culture services and program management support. The Tasman organization has consulted on multi-billion dollar cross-border industry-changing acquisitions as well as large and small domestic transactions.
Yocum and Lee worked together at Cisco Systems prior to forming Tasman. Yocum led the HR Mergers and Acquisitions organization, where she held a key role in building the next generation of the company's integration strategy. Lee was Director of Human Resources Mergers & Acquisitions, where she also worked with executives to build Cisco's acquisition strategy and model for post-acquisition integration.
"We advise clients that cultural fit and skill match are critical for a successful acquisition," said Lee. "Shari and I applied this same advice in our own decision to join the EY team. We knew it was a good fit. EY has an outstanding team and is committed to growing their transactions and broader People practice. We are confident we will help the company attain this goal."
Yocum agreed. "Niki and I weighed all options before making the decision for our organization to join EY," she said. "EY's focus on exceptional client service, and the desire to add deep industry experience matches our philosophy. Everyone at Tasman is excited about joining EY and having access to the firm's global networks and resources."
Tasman Consulting was recognized in Inc. 5000, Inc. Magazine's list of fastest growing companies, as well as in the San Francisco Business Times' Fast 100 and Top 100 Women Owned Businesses in 2014 & 2015. Tasman has received numerous domestic and international awards for its growth, M&A activity and leadership. Tasman spearheads the Silicon Valley HR M&A Community of Practice, which brings together the most elite technology companies to further advance best practices for HR M&A.
