Managing Software Supply Chains with HP ALM

Supporting modern software development is a messy process that requires linking disconnected disciplines and practices. It's more challenging when third-party software suppliers must be coordinated to create the final solution. This is a key software delivery challenge for organizations needing to coordinate outsourced suppliers for software delivery and testing, while managing their own requirements and defect tracking processes. In this talk, Kersten will present studies of several leading financial services organizations and manufacturing companies who have been able to manage software supply chains by deploying HP ALM to track the lifecycle, with Tasktop Sync as the mechanism to connect the suppliers. Rather than focusing on products, the talk will look at the integration concepts, patterns and practices that make it possible to connect the disciplines of quality and development. Kersten will conclude with an overview of the business results of increased traceability, visibility and reporting in a heterogeneous or multi-organizational application lifecycle.
