Barbie Bigelow joins TASC in the Chief Information Officer (CIO) role. She will be responsible for TASC's information technology vision, market discriminators and operations including creating TASC's infrastructure, business systems and collaboration suite. Barbie has more than 25 years experience in both Information Technology and Program Management on Government military and civilian programs. Prior to joining TASC, she served as the Electronic Systems CIO at Lockheed Martin where she led several systems modernization and consolidation initiatives. Most recently she led the program management, governance and compliance transformation for the Enterprise Business Services organization.
Jerry Howe joins as TASC's new General Counsel. Jerry will build and lead a team that will ensure legal compliance and mitigation of risks, providing support for our ongoing business operations. He will also lead TASC's corporate development activities. Jerry has more than 25 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, with expertise in federal government contracts work within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Communities. Most recently, he was the owner and principal of InSequitur LLC, a consulting firm. His extensive background includes holding executive positions at the Olive Group, SRA International, Inc. and Veridian Corporation, where he was general counsel.
Brian Kessler moves to the newly established position of Chief Compliance Officer, where he will lead the TASC Ethics and Compliance organization. Brian will oversee governance functions including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, as well as lead the internal audit function which evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational processes. Brian will also ensure corporate systems compliance with contract requirements such as earned value, billing and purchasing systems among others. Additionally, Brian and his team will build upon TASC's long-standing ethics program. They will also be the official TASC corporate interface with both the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
Jim Lawler joins TASC as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Jim will develop comprehensive human resources (HR) initiatives including strategy, employee development and training, recruiting, diversity, compensation, benefits and performance metrics. Jim most recently was the owner and principal of Org Solutions International, a HR consulting firm. Previously he was CHRO of Royal Ahold N.V., where he led the alignment of talent, organizational structure and compensation systems to drive a new business strategy. He has also held senior HR leadership roles with Giant Foods and PepsiCo.
Jay McCaffrey comes to TASC as Senior Director, Communications. Jay will oversee and evolve TASC's integrated communication activities which encompass strategic outreach, media relations and advocacy, and internal and executive communications. Jay is a career communications professional, having held senior positions with several Fortune 100 corporations. He joins TASC from Northrop Grumman where he served as director, strategic and external communications for the Information Systems sector and as sector director, communications for the Mission Systems sector.
