Tarkett Rejuvenates FloorScore® Certified Triumph and Inertia™ Color Lines, Adds 1/4-inch SlideLock to Inertia Line
Enhanced Aesthetics and New Certification Broaden Environmentally-Responsible Product's Options in Educational, Corporate and Hospitality Marketplaces
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio, Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tarkett, the worldwide leader in innovative and sustainable flooring and sports surface solutions, has revitalized the highly durable, multi-functional Triumph and Inertia™ rubber flooring solutions to include 26 new colorways. The new aesthetic options reflect trends in the sports segment for educational, corporate and hospitality venues. The collection has also received FloorScore® certification, having been tested to meet a number of stringent indoor air quality emissions criteria.
Of the new offerings, 20 of the options are traditional, speckled designs while six are made by the company's unique Mesto™ tone-on-tone marbleized method. By offering the options in collaborative colors, Tarkett is making it possible for designers to use the solutions in coordinating patterns. Custom Speckled, Mesto™ and Solid Colors are also available upon request.
Both the Triumph and Inertia™ systems were developed to help absorb foot and rolling traffic noises and are available as 24" X 24" square tiles for easy installation. While they differ functionally, these two selections are identical aesthetically, allowing you to blend them to create seamless, high-performance environments that balance needs with the bottom line.
Also new to the Inertia line is the patented SlideLock profile in a ¼-inch gauge, which is well suited for sporting applications or where floors are only temporarily required. Available as part of both the Triumph and Inertia lines, the ¼-inch, and current 3/8-inch, SlideLock install easily and without adhesive. Upon completion of use, SlideLock can be removed and repurposed elsewhere, donated to charity or returned to Johnsonite for recycling.
As a part of the Johnsonite commercial line of flooring, the new Triumph and Inertia™ colorways coordinate with other solutions such as traditional and specialty rubber tiles, stair treads, transitions, corner guards, finishing borders and chair rails. This ensures a Balanced Choice approach for specifiers while also making the space more aesthetically pleasing, safe and productive.
Tarkett's ongoing commitment to circular or "closed loop" design has led to its offering of environmentally responsible products. This design approach focuses on the four steps of the product lifecycle: good materials, resource stewardship, people-friendly spaces and reuse. In achieving FloorScore certification, Triumph and Inertia™ assure a high level of indoor air quality. Products that bear the FloorScore label satisfy the emissions criteria of LEED, California High Performance Schools (CHPS), the Green Guide for Healthcare, among others. A valuable measurement on the way to sustainability confirmation under NSF/ANSI 332, FloorScore certified products have been independently tested to verify that the product meets the volatile organic compound (VOC) criteria established by CHPS.
Triumph and Inertia™ are made in the USA in an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified plant, assuring quality and a positive environmental impact. The durability and reduced maintenance schedule of rubber diminish the impact on the environment by using less water, chemicals and energy for maintenance, in addition to its status as a recyclable material.
