TargetX Launches New Company Vision at Annual Summit
CHICAGO, June 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Sasha Peterson, CEO of TargetX, a leading provider of student lifecycle solutions for higher education, set a bold new vision for the company during the keynote address of the TargetX Summit in Chicago, IL.
In a marketplace where, according to Pew research, 92 percent of teenagers use a mobile device to go online daily, and 24 percent are online "almost constantly," the mobile-savvy millennial and up-and-coming Generation Z will expect a "me-centric" approach to student recruitment and retention. For this reason, TargetX will push the envelope and deliver delight to students and users, putting students front and center when developing products.
Equally central to its approach, TargetX will provide strategic guidance to help institutions put students first and provide solutions that are mobile-first.
"Higher education institutions must be nimble, fully mobile, and innovative if they want to be competitive in recruiting and retaining the right students, particularly the tech-native generations," says Peterson. "TargetX is ready to partner with institutions to refresh, reimagine, and reinvest in the student experience through innovative technology tools that work. It's time for a revolution in how the space thinks about the student experience; we are ready to lead it."
As part of the TargetX commitment to help higher education reimagine the student experience, the 2017 Summit features a Parent and Student Panel, as well as a Leadership Panel, to highlight the voices of those on the front lines of execution, as well as those who should be delighted by that execution.
The Student and Parent Panel, entitled "A Change Would Do You Good," is sponsored by Render Experiences and will take place on Monday, June 26 at 11:15 a.m. (Central Time). The panel highlights first-person perspectives from students and parents who have recently been through (or are currently going through) the admissions process to provide attendees with real feedback, straight from the source. The discussion will be moderated by Jeff Kallay, Principal at Render Experiences.
The Leadership Panel, entitled "Disrupt the Status Quo: Meeting the Current Challenges in Higher Education" is a conversation on addressing and beating the tough challenges faced by higher education leaders. It will take place on Tuesday, June 27 at 8:30 a.m (Central Time). The panel will be moderated by Scott Jaschik, the Editor and CEO of Inside Higher Ed, and feature:
- Cindy Haney, Vice President for Enrollment Management, Lehigh Carbon Community College
- David Burge, Vice President for Enrollment Management, George Mason University
- John Pyle, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Saint Mary's University of Minnesota
- Jay Murray, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services, Western Connecticut State University
- Jeff Kallay, Principal at Render Experiences
"We look forward to welcoming attendees — in person and online — to the TargetX Summit, which truly has become the premiere gathering for higher ed professionals to learn from experts and each other, hear best practices, and understand trending topics," says Peterson.
