tapTrak MED Partners With University Physicians Group

NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- tapTrak MED®, a limited liability company creating medical mobile applications, announced that it is partnering with University Physicians Group (UPG) of New York to launch a mobile application for patients and physicians to capture multiple medical measures for HEDIS, Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) and insurance incentive programs to augment and enhance patient care.  HEDIS stands for Healthcare and Effectiveness Data and Information Set and is used to make improvements in patient care and service.

Dr. Jeffrey Hyman, Medical Director of the University Physicians Group, has been the key driver of this initiative with tapTrak MED.  " We have been seeking a technology partner that could deliver a medical mobile app to our specifications ultimately leveraging mobile technology to improve quality of patient care and workflow efficiency of across all our practices."

University Physicians Group and tapTrak MED have been in discussions for this medical mobile application initiative since early 2014 and will deploy this initial pilot to patients starting this November.  UPG will continue to roll out the app across all fifteen locations and complete enrollment of all eligible patients during 2015.
