Taos Ski Valley & SheJumps To Host K2 International Women's Ski Day Events Dec. 13
Events include free screening of "Pretty Faces," clinics, entertainment, yoga, contests and more
TAOS SKI VALLEY, N.M., Dec. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Taos Ski Valley will hold a variety of fun and educational events the weekend of Dec. 12 – 14 in honor of K2 International Women's Ski Day. The events at Taos Ski Valley are open to girls and women of all ages and abilities, and will help support SheJumps, whose mission is to increase female participation in outdoor activities.
The festivities kick off on the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 12 at the Columbine Inn in Taos Ski Valley where visitors can pick up a swag bag, sign-in for the weekend (or register), and hang out while they create hilarious jeweled tutus or other costumes for the weekend.
Saturday morning, the Columbine Inn will host a complimentary breakfast for participants so skiers can get fueled up for the events of the day, which include a Big Mountain Skiing Clinic hosted by Taos Winter Sports Team head coach, Andrea Krejci, a beacon clinic by Taos Ski Valley ski patroller Rachel Moscerella, an afternoon yoga class, apres-ski in the famed Martini Tree Bar, and - to cap it all off - a free screening of the SheJumps acclaimed film, Pretty Faces. Contests, photo opps, meet-ups, games and prizes will be going on all day too. Tutus, unicorns, giraffes, girafficorns...get creative because best outfit will win a prize at the end of the day.
Registration is $30 and includes all of the events, contests and activities as well as:
- Discounted rentals
- Discounted adult ski/snowboard lessons
- 2 discounted lift ticket vouchers at $50/day (one valid for Dec. 13, and one valid for Dec. 14)
