Tango Card Announces New CTO
Enterprise Technology Veteran Chek Lim Joins Growing Leadership Team
SEATTLE, June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tango Card, the leader in providing enterprise rewards as a service (RaaS®), today announced the hire of Chek Lim as CTO. Prior to Tango Card, Lim was SVP Engineering at Globys, a leader in big data analytics and contextual marketing. Prior to Globys, he led Motricity's R&D team and scaled it from 50 to 180 persons in locations around the globe. The company launched award winning SaaS-based products Marketplace and MobileCast among other mobile products. Lim held other key positions at infospace, Go2Net, and Unchained Geometry after earning his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington. Lim has led the patent strategy and execution process for several companies and is the co-inventor on US Patent #6,100,893.

Lim will join Tango Card today along with other notable recent hires. In Q4 of 2013, Carrie Casanas joined Tango Card as CFO|COO. Early in her career, Casanas was Director of Finance at Starwave Corporation (acquired by Disney.) She was both VP Finance and VP Operations for ShareBuilder where she led the sale of the organization to ING Direct. Immediately prior to Tango Card, Casanas was CFO, Northwest Region for Kibble and Prentice. Casanas is a CPA and has a BA with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Washington.

When Tango Card closed its Series B1 financing this April (2014), Terry Kramer joined the board of directors comprised of David Leeds and Julie Allegro of Allegro Venture Partners. Kramer is currently Distinguished Visitor, Strategy Unit at UCLA. Immediately prior to that, Kramer was Ambassador, Head of US Delegation, World Conference on International Telecommunications. Earlier, Kramer Held key roles at Vodafone where he was Regional President Vodafone Americas, Global HR Director and Chief of Staff among other roles. Earlier in his career, Kramer was President of AirTouch paging after holding a range of key positions at Airtouch. He also on the Board of Leed's last company FiberTower, where he served as an independent Board Member.
"I have worked with Terry in a number of roles since 2000. He is a hands-on, detail-oriented, and extremely supportive board member and we are very very fortunate to have him as we manage through this phase of company growth. He and I spoke at length about this role and it has been great having him on the Board and involved in the company," according to Leeds.

When Palo Alto based Floodgate invested in Tango Card, Ann Miura-Ko joined the company as a Board Observer. Miura-Ko is co-founding partner at Floodgate, one of the most respected early-stage venture firms in the Bay Area. Their investments include SolarWinds, Twitter, Ayasdi, Task Rabbit, Chegg, Lyft, among others.
"Ann's experience with SaaS/cloud based business, firms that are innovating around data they provide to their customers, and her experience watching companies grow and succeed has been incredibly valuable to us," says David Leeds.
