Tangerine Matching Client Donations towards Canadian Red Cross Relief in Nepal
TORONTO, April 30, 2015 /CNW/ - Starting today, Tangerine clients can use their existing Tangerine Chequing Account to make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross relief efforts in Nepal. Tangerine will match every dollar donated up to $50,000 with all funds going directly to the Canadian Red Cross Nepal Region Earthquake Fund.
The Red Cross is providing emergency assistance following a devastating earthquake that struck the region near Kathmandu, Nepal, causing widespread destruction.
To donate, clients can simply log in to their online banking and click "I want to help." Tangerine will be matching donations starting today until May 29, 2015. The total donated amount collected and matched by Tangerine will also be matched by the Government of Canada.
For donations of $20 or more, a tax receipt will be provided by the Canadian Red Cross.
