SAN DIEGO, Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tandem Diabetes Care®, Inc. (NASDAQ: TNDM), a medical device company and manufacturer of the t:slim® Insulin Pump, announced today that the t:slim Pump is now compatible with diasend® Clinic, a web-based diabetes data management tool developed by Diasend. Healthcare providers across the United States will now be able to include the t:slim Pump among products supported by diasend® Clinic.
"Based on recent nationwide market research with insulin pump prescribers, we heard one size does not fit all when it comes to clinics' data access needs," said Kim Blickenstaff, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tandem Diabetes Care. "We make it our top priority to listen to the diabetes community and, in addition to our existing t:connect® Diabetes Management Application, offices using diasend Clinic can now upload t:slim Insulin Pump data to aid in their patient management."
Diasend Clinic offers healthcare providers an online tool that collects and stores all of their diabetes patients' data centrally, without worrying about any software installation. The t:slim Pump can now be uploaded with data from over 80 blood glucose meters and continuous glucose monitors and immediately viewed online in a secure account. Data from multiple devices is consolidated and presented in one report.
Medical offices are able to use diasend® Clinic to upload and analyze data from their patients' t:slim Pumps effective immediately.
