Tampa Elks to Start Athena Homeless Women Veterans Transitional Housing Project

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Tampa Elks will provide funding and work with the veterans and their children.  They will support them in the form of transportation, food, clothing, and school supplies.

Tampa Elks/ Athena Homeless Women Veterans Transitional Housing Project will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Tampa Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Tampa Elks Lodge No. 708 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
