Tamara Carmichael Joins Olshan as Partner in Intellectual Property and Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Practices

NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP today announced that Tamara Carmichael will join the firm as partner in the Intellectual Property and Advertising, Marketing & Promotions practices. Ms. Carmichael joins Olshan from Loeb & Loeb LLP where she was a partner in the New York office. She counsels clients on trademark, advertising and unfair competition matters and in the protection of their valuable intellectual property assets.

Ms. Carmichael also advises clients on compliance with the FTC and other regulatory agencies and represents them in deceptive and unfair advertising disputes in state and federal court and before the Better Business Bureau's National Advertising Division. She handles all stages of trademark and copyright prosecution, branding initiatives, commercialization of intellectual property rights, licensing, and portfolio management, and oversees trademark clearance and domestic and foreign portfolios for a broad range of industries, including media and entertainment, retail, textile and apparel.

Ms. Carmichael received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law where she was an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Entertainment and Sports Law Review and served on the Executive Board for the University of Miami Business Law Journal. She received her B.A. from Stetson University.
