Talyst Announces New Executive to Its Leadership Team
BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Talyst, Inc., dedicated to engineering safer pharmacies, has appointed Steve Short as Vice President of Sales. With Short's extensive expertise and background in healthcare and technology, he will be a strong strategic lead and addition to the company.

Short most recently lead the sales team at medDISPENSE, which provides decentralized automated medication dispensing systems for health care facilities nationwide. At the company, he built a team that increased sales and expanded the company into new markets, including long-term care and specialty hospitals. Short also expanded medDISPENSE beyond the U.S. and drove international expansion into Canada, Australia and the Middle East.
He has also worked in the healthcare and technology industry in several roles. His roles include leading the Professional Relations division for the eastern U.S. region at the Psychiatric Institutes of America, recruitment and business development roles at Horizon Health and Charter Medical Corporation, and a top sales lead for Envision Telephony.
Short holds a BA Degree in Corporate Communications with minors in Marketing and Management from the Northern Kentucky University.
