With the threat of fines, penalties and audits on the rise for employers, TALX helps organizations navigate the complications of I-9 compliance. During ICE's training session, business line manager for TALX I-9 Management Services, Troy Hupp, will lead a presentation titled, "Taking Charge of Your I-9 Compliance," and discuss how an automated, web-based Form I-9 service can help employers streamline their processes, increase compliance and enhance reporting capabilities – all aimed to protect employers in the event of an audit. Attendees will be guided through TALX case studies that demonstrate how employers can reduce liability and achieve cost savings with a best practices approach to electronic I-9s.
"Helping over 300 clients overcome the challenges of the I-9 process and its ever-changing landscape, TALX possesses great breadth of knowledge and experience and will provide vital insight during ICE's next IMAGE training," said Dann Adams, TALX president. "We're honored ICE has reached out to us to help support this important training."
Each year, undocumented workers use fraudulent means to obtain employment. ICE's IMAGE Program strives to reduce unauthorized employment and the use of fraudulent identity documents by educating employers on proper hiring procedures. Next week's scheduled training, "Fostering Compliance through Education and Partnership," is part of this program series. This collaborative effort between ICE and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services presents a unique opportunity for employers to ask questions and get answers directly from those responsible for both establishing and enforcing employment verification requirements.
The day-long sessions will take place on Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offer identical content on either day. Space is limited, so those interested are encouraged to reserve their seat online at http://www.ice.gov/exec/image/invite/invite-form.asp.
