Tactile Mobility Appoints Eitan Grosbard as Vice President of Business Development
Tactile data and sensing company adds key role as it aims to expand its global partnership base
HAIFA, Israel, May 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Tactile Mobility, the leading tactile data and sensing company for automakers, municipalities, road authorities and fleet managers, announced today the appointment of Eitan Grosbard as the Vice President of Business Development to develop partnerships, build out the sales organization within the company and drive the scaling of Tactile Mobility's global customer base. Grosbard joins the company with a comprehensive background in business development and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) that will further Tactile Mobility's growth and stability.
"The automotive industry is at an inflection point and having Eitan on board will give us the drive and expertise we need to have a significant impact and bring tactile data and all its benefits to the market at scale," said Tactile Mobility CEO Amit Nisenbaum. "His years of experience in both business development and the transportation sector will help us expand our global reach and accelerate innovation in the automotive sector."
Tactile Mobility provides smart and autonomous vehicles with a tactile sense by collecting "first principle," real-time data generated by existing, non-visual vehicle sensors and turning it into actionable insights. The company's technology enables OEMs to improve safety, user experience and energy efficiency, and municipalities to monitor the state of infrastructure and address potential hazards. In addition, it allows fleet managers to derive better insights related to preventative maintenance and road conditions, and insurance companies to have a better understanding of a specific vehicle's risk factors, offering a more comprehensive view of the driving experience.
With well over fourteen million kilometers of road data across four continents collected to date, Tactile Mobility is working with leading American and European OEMs, as well as municipalities in the US, Europe and Asia.
"It's exciting to join a company with such a great track record and so much potential to grow," said Grosbard. "The need for Tactile Mobility's unique technology is there; now, it's just a matter of building and nurturing business relationships that will place Tactile Mobility at the forefront of AV technology innovation."
Grosbard joins Tactile Mobility following three years at global on-demand mobility company Gett, where he most recently served as Director of Corporate Development and M&A. In addition to this role, he served as the UK subsidiary's COO and led Gett's autonomous vehicle ecosystem's business development initiatives and partnerships. Prior to that, Grosbard founded and managed two consultancies, S.G. Sustainable Growth M&A and Global PMI Partners, where he gained substantial experience in strategic planning and implementation and M&A lifecycle management.
Grosbard holds an Executive MBA in Strategy and Finance from Tel Aviv University, an MA in Public Administration from Bar-Ilan University, and a BA in Human Resources and Management from Ben Gurion University. He is also the Co-author of a Wiley Finance Series entitled, "Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions."
