SEATTLE, Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA), a global leader in rapid-fire, easy-to-use business analytics software, today announced that its global OEM Partner program added seven new valued partners including Premier, Inc., Redzone, Vocera Communications, CI&T, LeanKit, N2N and PostUp. By partnering with Tableau, these independent software vendors (ISVs) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers gain the ability to integrate, co-brand and embed Tableau's powerful and easy to use data visualization software into their own products. Many of these new partners along with dozens more existing ones are participating in the annual Tableau Conference. The event this week in Seattle, has attracted a sold-out crowd of over 5,500 customers, partners and data enthusiasts from around the globe.
"Tableau's OEM program provides a flexible and cost-effective visual analytics platform for ISVs and SaaS companies that are looking to quickly add analytical and data visualization functionality to their products," said Paul Greenspan, Director of OEM Sales, Tableau Software. "This program was originally created in response to strong demand from the ISV community, and the continued growth we are seeing is strong validation that our OEM Partners are achieving continued success from the program."
Tableau's OEM program solves a common problem faced by software product vendors: They often want to embed fast analytics and easy reporting into their applications, but they find conventional business intelligence applications heavy, expensive and hard to use. By becoming an OEM partner, ISVs can quickly embed Tableau's visual data analysis tools into their application suites, achieving rapid time to market with a solution that lets end-users create rich analyses and share their insights with colleagues in seconds.
Companies participating in the OEM program can offer Tableau products to their customers in a co-branded fashion featuring the complete functionality of Tableau solutions. Participating ISVs, both on-premise application developers and SaaS/Cloud providers, benefit from flexible pricing and distribution models, including subscription programs and unlimited distribution options.
