Tableau Launches Enhanced Worldwide Partner Program
Partners in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific Have New Ways to Help Their Customers
SEATTLE, Sept. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tableau Software, the global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence (BI) software, today announced major improvements to the Tableau Partner Program. The changes will make it easier for partners to help their customers and to grow their businesses. The new program gives resellers and referral partners exclusive access to resources and training as well as new performance tiers to encourage growth. Partners and resellers can leverage Tableau's market momentum. Gartner and IDC both recently rated Tableau as the fastest growing business intelligence vendor in the world.

Tableau offers two types of partnering opportunities: the Reseller Partner program and the Referral Partner program. The Tableau Reseller Program is for partners who resell Tableau to their customers directly. Benefits include:
- Rights to provide Tableau's rapid-fire business intelligence software to clients and prospects for registered opportunities
- The ability to provide consulting and advisory services in conjunction with Tableau licenses
- Exclusive access to Tableau Partner Resource Center which provides partners with sales and marketing tools and special education programs
- Robust partner training program including Tableau Partner Certification
- Favorable margins that improve as partners move into advanced tiers
The Tableau Referral Program is for partners who recommend Tableau Software to their clients. Referral Partners register opportunities and Tableau salespeople follow up and handle the purchase directly. A referral commission is provided back on all approved opportunities that result in a sale.
"We know from the success of our current network of more than 150 partners that the channel is critical to Tableau's growth," said Kelly Wright, executive vice president of sales. "We developed this new program to better enable our partners with the skills necessary to effectively solve their clients' business problems and drive revenues."
"The success and growth of Tableau at InterWorks resulted from an early adopter mentality," said Dan Murray, director of business intelligence at InterWorks, Inc., a key Tableau partner. "We built a full-service practice that provides Tableau Training, data visualization and dashboard design services. We've also added volume to our existing database design and BI practice – and jumpstarted our consulting business into Europe as well. Tableau's new Partner Training Program will help aspiring partners gain the necessary skills faster and with less risk."
In July, Tableau announced localized versions of its Tableau Desktop product in French and German as well as support for mobile business intelligence on the iPad.
