T-Mobile and Google Celebrate the Launch of Google Music
Zac Efron, Ashlee Simpson and Nick Cannon Joined Multiple Music Acts, Including Maroon 5, Busta Rhymes, Dirty South and a Surprise Performance from Drake, for a First Look at Google's Cloud Music Service Showcased on T-Mobile's 4G Devices
BELLEVUE, Wash., Nov. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Last night in the heart of Hollywood, T-Mobile USA, Inc. together with Google™ celebrated the unveiling of Google Music™ with an exclusive celebrity and VIP event that brought the inspiration and world of music to life for a crowd of exuberant music fans. Held at the yet-to-be-opened Mr. Brainwash Studio, the special event featured live musical performances by popular acts, including Maroon 5 with special guest Travie McCoy, Busta Rhymes, Dirty South and a surprise performance by Drake, who is celebrating his newly released sophomore studio album Take Care.

The event featured a world of interactive engagements for music fanatics to showcase their love of music, including a real-world T-Mobile and Google Music store, giant Android™ and live graffiti installations, all under the backdrop of a raw, real-life concrete warehouse street art gallery with performances by some of the biggest names in music.
More than 1,000 music revelers and special guests turned out for the invite-only, star-studded event, including Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Liam Hemsworth, Serena Williams and Kevin Connolly. R3HAB got the party started as guests arrived at the magenta carpet. Upon entering the Mr. Brainwash Studio, a brand new street art gallery set to open to the public in December 2011, guests marveled at the live art installations from graffiti artists inside while outside overhead revealed a T-Mobile and Google Music billboard overlooking the building designed by Mr. Brainwash himself.
Inside the party, Jamie Chung stopped by the "Ask Des" interactive demo device station where resident T-Mobile product expert, Desmond Smith, provided hands–on experience on how to utilize Google Music on their T-Mobile Android™-powered 4G devices.
Music lovers Emmanuelle Chriqui and Jerry Ferrara crowded around the T-Mobile Discover Bar to meet the Google "Super Fan" who showed them how to use Google Music to discover new music and artist recommendations. Nick Cannon enjoyed using the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1 to create an Instant Mix of songs that compliment each other perfectly.
At the T-Mobile Music Store, Shenae Grimes was spotted checking out the latest hot single, while Topher Grace hammed it up at the interactive photo booth using the HTC Amaze™ 4G to take pictures with friends.
Fans at home were able to follow the celebration through real-time social media engagement through updates via the hashtag #GoogleMusicLA on Twitter® and Google+, as well as T-Mobile's Facebook page. Celebrity guests also shared their experience with fans by sending tweets, photos and videos from their T-Mobile 4G devices.
Google Music is a service where you can upload up to 20,000 of your songs from your music collections for free, purchase songs from your favorite artists, and stream all your music from your Android devices and the web. Google Music also includes new social features like Social Recommendations, that let you share songs you've purchased on Google+ with your friends, allowing them to listen to the song in full for free. Google Music also brings new discovery features and ways to find new music, through a variety of editorial features and personalized recommendations.
Google Music is available for download to the latest T-Mobile Android-powered 4G devices, including the new Samsung Galaxy S™ II, HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The new devices deliver a great experience for watching video, surfing the Web and creating and sharing content on the go and, now, music, with Google Music.
To celebrate the launch of Google Music, T-Mobile is offering millions of T-Mobile customers using Android 2.2. or above smartphones and tablets free Google Music content from featured artists including Drake, Maroon 5, Shakira and others.
