Sysmex America Employee Outreach Recognized for Fifth Consecutive Year
Company Earns Placement on Center for Companies That Care 2013 Honor Roll
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sysmex America, Inc., a global leader in medical diagnostic testing equipment and information systems technology, today announces its selection to Center for Companies That Care's 2013 Honor Roll. As a 2013 Honor Roll honoree, Sysmex America is noted for its outstanding workplace practices and active community involvement. Two key components of the selection process are employee survey results and a written application, according to Karen Stoneman, Vice President of Human Resources, Sysmex America. This year marks the eleventh Honor Roll named by Center for Companies That Care. The 2013 Honor Roll includes 85% privately held and 15% publicly traded organizations as well as not-for-profit employers representing nine industries. Sysmex America is pleased to be named for the 5th consecutive year.
"Our corporate philosophy, The Sysmex Way, is one that recognizes the need to develop and respect the individuality of our employees and to provide them with a workplace where they can realize their full potential. In doing so, we enable them to provide our customers with unmatched quality, advanced technologies and superior support while serving as a responsible member of society. We are honored by this recognition from Center for Companies That Care and trust that our Sysmex Way core principles will continue to serve Sysmex America and its employees well as we help to reshape the future of healthcare," said Stoneman.
Honor Roll employers are selected for their adherence to all 10 Characteristics of socially responsible employers. Each shows its steadfast commitment to employees and community service. "These employers are truly engaged with their employees," said Marci Koblenz, Center for Companies That Care's Co-founder and President. "They show a commitment to helping people achieve career goals as well as life goals. They seek and listen to what their employees' opinions are and then follow up with action. Further, all of our Honor Roll encourages community service and employees enthusiastically participate. There is no doubt these organizations are companies that care and are examples to follow. "
Each March the Honor Roll is announced in conjunction with the launch of CAREDAYS, an annual month-long, national initiative to address a significant societal issue. CAREDAYS13: Terrific Tales supports childhood literacy by ensuring that under-resourced classroom libraries have age-appropriate books for children to read. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to either donate books or raise funds to purchase books for 1000 classrooms across the country. If we all do a little, we can accomplish a lot!
