Sysmex America Adds Industry Veteran to Company Leadership
Alan Burton to serve as Director of Hematology Marketing
MUNDELEIN, Ill., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Sysmex America, Inc. today announced the addition of Alan Burton as the company's new Director of Hematology Marketing. Burton's areas of responsibilities include product management of Sysmex's Hematology, Systemization and Urinalysis product portfolio as well as product management oversight of the company's complementary OEM products and Scientific Marketing.

His wealth of knowledge in IVD sales and marketing, new product development and contract pricing will serve us well as we continue to intensify our efforts as a best-in-class hematology provider. Burton will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing & Medical Affairs.
Prior to joining Sysmex America, Burton's areas of focus were cellular analysis and hematology within which his leadership responsibilities included product development, sales and marketing for the Coulter Corporation and Beckman Coulter in the United States and the United Kingdom. He also served a key role in tactical and strategy development for Coulter's North American and global markets.
Burton's professional associations include current and prior memberships with the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (MIBMS), International Society for Laboratory Hematology (ISLH), ISLH Corporate Advisory Council, AACC and Industry Rep on USADA Blood Doping Panel.
Burton is a graduate of the University of London's (England) HNC Medical Laboratory Sciences program where he specialized in Hematology & Blood Transfusion Science.
