SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Bolin, PE, LEED Fellow, ASHRAE HBDP, Senior Principal with Syska Hennessy Group, Inc. a global consulting, engineering and commissioning firm, has relocated to the firm's San Francisco location where he will continue to serve in a leadership role overseeing several major projects and supporting the overall operations for the office.
Bolin, a LEED® Fellow and ASHRAE High Performance Design Professional with decades of mechanical engineering experience, has been with Syska Hennessy Group for 18 years, having previously served in both the firm's Chicago and Los Angeles locations. He specializes in sustainable architecture and has successfully overseen a number of government, civic and higher education projects involving high performance buildings that utilize passive low energy systems. Notable recent projects that Bolin has worked on include:

- The General Service Administration's (GSA) new downtown Los Angeles Federal Courthouse project, one of the most important sustainable buildings in the entire city.
The San Francisco office for Syska Hennessy Group has been steadily growing its market share over the last three years across the Bay Area region. The office is also a key part of the firm's deep west coast bench, comprised of their additional Los Angeles and San Diego locations. There continues to be strong and seamless project collaboration between all of the Syska west coast offices, which enhances overall client servicing as well as provides access to a greater pool of expertise for regional projects.
"I'm excited to be working with the talented lineup in the San Francisco office, a team widely recognized for its technical excellence and superior project management skills," said Bolin. "This is an exciting time for the entire west coast market, particularly in California. The state has an ambitious plan in place to be completely zero net energy by 2030, which should provide additional opportunities for us to bring our high-performance designs to new and existing buildings throughout the region. Syska Hennessy Group remains at the forefront of the transformation towards full sustainability with its innovative high efficiency solutions and I look forward to bringing my expertise towards implementing these advanced new designs."
"Rob's know-how and years of experience in high performance designing will be an important advantage for the San Francisco office," said Co-President Gary Brennen, PE, LEED® AP. "Our clients continue to look to us to deliver progressive solutions across the entire built environment, particularly when it comes to energy efficiency. Rob will support this effort and enhance the overall visibility for the San Francisco office as well as the entire west coast team."
