Led by Michael Eaves, managing director, the office has maintained a long-standing presence in the New England area. In the last few years, the office experienced its most rapid expansion, growing to over 20 employees and overseeing a number of local and regional engineering projects. This includes extensive mission critical work as well as additional assignments in the financial, retail, higher education and healthcare sectors. As a result, the relocation of the entire staff to downtown Boston became an essential move as the new space offers close proximity to clients and upgraded facilities with extra space for future employee growth.
"This move is a clear demonstration of Syska's commitment to Boston and New England," noted Mr. Eaves. "We could not be more proud of the success of our team and this expanded space will create enhanced efficiencies in internal communication and improve overall processes. Our new location also puts us right in the heart of the city's thriving downtown area. This will allow us to better serve our clients since we'll be close by many current projects as well as offer greater access and visibility to the young professional talent pool at Boston's numerous educational institutions. Our new office will be a key factor towards sustaining the upward growth trend we have been experiencing."
Over the last decade, the office successfully worked on numerous projects with high-profile clients throughout Boston including Bank of America, Citizens Bank, CBRE, Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Syska was also a key participant in the comprehensive electrical renovation work recently completed on Boston's historic Old South Church.
