Synaptic Digital Continues Strategic Expansion
Taps Media Expert and Veteran Sales Leader, Tom Morrissy, to Lead North American Sales Effort
NEW YORK, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Synaptic Digital, the leading global digital communications provider, today announced the appointment of Tom Morrissy to the position of Executive Vice President, North American Sales effective immediately. Mr. Morrissy, a former publisher of Entertainment Weekly and OK! Magazine brings over 20 years of media and entertainment sales and marketing experience to Synaptic Digital.
Mr. Morrissy's appointment is part of a series of strategic hires at Synaptic Digital, the new brand resulting from the recent integration of Medialink and The NewsMarket.

Mr. Morrissy has served as Publisher of Time Inc's Entertainment Weekly, where he was responsible for $250 million in revenue (Source: PIB) and helped launch numerous new products including EW.com and their high profile entertainment event business. Mr. Morrissy was recruited from Time Inc. to serve as Publisher of OK! Magazine in the United States. Tom grew advertising revenue from $21.4 million to $45.1 million (Source: PIB) in just two years and launched several initiatives including celebrity events and okmagazine.com. Most recently, Mr. Morrissy ran his own media and entertainment consultancy firm, Morrissy + Vine LLC, with clients specializing in online video, social media, entertainment events and cloud research technology.
