NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Symmetry Surgical, Inc., a leader in surgical instrumentation and solutions for all specialties and sites of care, unveiled an expanded Energy Solution consisting of the Olsen® product line and recently acquired Bovie® electrosurgery portfolio at the 56th AORN Global Surgical Conference & Expo.
Bovie® generators offer the same electrosurgical power at up to 72% less VPeak than major competitors, which directly correlates to less thermal spread and better outcomes for patients. The clinical benefit of less Vpeak, coupled with the Olsen® line of energy delivery devices, can help clinicians reduce tissue damage caused by thermal spread, eschar buildup, and the production of noxious smoke.
"Our expanded Energy Solution brings together two of the most trusted names in electrosurgery, Bovie® and Olsen®," said Brian Straeb, President and CEO of Symmetry Surgical. "This solution represents another important milestone in our commitment to delivering best-in-class products, market-leading value and innovation that provide our global customers with solutions that enable optimal control and better outcomes for their patients."
The expanded Symmetry Surgical Energy Solution now features a comprehensive suite of generators, smoke evacuation products, grounding pads, electrodes, cauteries, bipolar and monopolar forceps, micro needles and accessories.
Symmetry Surgical will offer continuing education credits on "The ABCs of Electrosurgery and Smoke Evacuation" at booth 2314 in the AORN exhibition hall, as well as an opportunity to meet industry leader and surgeon inventor John Bookwalter MD.
