SXSW Interactive Announces New Event: SXSWedu
SXSWedu to Host Project Share Education Conference
AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- SXSW Interactive is introducing a new event covering education and technology called SXSWedu.
SXSWedu is proud to host, as its inaugural event, an educational conference celebrating Texas' new K-12 education portal, Project Share. The conference, "Project Share: Knowledge Knows No Boundaries," will be held March 8-10, 2011, at the ATT Conference Center in Austin, Texas.
Project Share is a Texas Education Agency initiative that supports the development and delivery of high quality professional development for Texas educators in an interactive and engaging online learning environment. More than 160,000 Texas educators have already been provided access to the Project Share online community, and the number of participating Texas educators continues to grow. In addition to professional development opportunities, Project Share provides Texas teachers support, collaboration, and resources from across the state, including multimedia content provided through Texas Education on iTunes U.
Facilitated by SXSW, the Texas Education Agency will disseminate information about the conference to its Project Share members. Online registration and session proposals for review by the TEA can be submitted online at www.sxswedu.com
SXSWedu supports innovation in learning via 21st Century content delivery and best practices for education professionals. Its inaugural conference will bring together innovative Texas educators utilizing Project Share to collaborate, share resources and showcase accomplishments.
