(NASDAQ: RDCM) today announced that Swisscom purchased RADCOM's Omni-Q service assurance solution for their new IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) production network. RADCOM has accompanied Swisscom from their earliest stages of investigating IMS technology several years back, during their deployment of the Omni-Q solution in their lab. "As IMS was rolled out in the first phases of commercial services Swisscom found a need for pro-active Tier 2 and 3 engineering troubleshooting," said Armin Diethelm, CEO from Emitec AG, RADCOM's Swiss distributor. "The IMS network deployment involving an Ericsson core and Broadsoft application servers resulted in extremely complex correlation challenges. RADCOM provided the solution."
RADCOM's advanced QExpert business intelligence workflow reporting, which provides efficient and pro-active engineering and support, together with its ability to offer one system to monitor both SS7 (Signaling System #7), IMS and mobile services, proved essential to Swisscom.
"The fact that we were able to buy one system that addresses our comprehensive monitoring needs, that has both an integrated powerful reporting and analysis application and the QTrace application of fully correlated real-time and in-progress tracing was a crucial factor in our decision to buy RADCOM's solution," said Jurg Lemmenmeier, Swisscom's Head of Wireless & Voice Operations.
"Swisscom selected RADCOM after a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation process," said Adar Eyal VP European Sales and Worldwide Strategic Alliances. "We are pleased that we were able to prove our service assurance and real time monitoring capabilities to Swisscom's satisfaction".
